Windows Users


First, open your start menu and type in “control panel”, then when the option appears click to open the Control Panel.

Your view may be slightly different depending on which version of Windows you’re running or if you’ve made custom changes to your menu. Look for the option that says something along the lines of “View Printers”. Below, it is the option to “View devices and printers” under the “Hardware and Sound” header.

Look for the device you wish to secure print to. For this example, we’re using the B3 Main Xerox. Right click the printer and select “Printing preferences”

In the “Printing Options” tab, under the “Job Type” list, select “Secure Print”

In the new window, enter a numerical passcode as prompted (1-12 digits) and re-enter it for confirmation. Click “OK”

Verifying that the Job Type is now set to “Secure Print”, you can click “OK” at the bottom.

That’s it! You’ve just set up Secure Print on your printer, and now all jobs will require you to enter a passcode on the printer before they print out. Please make sure you save your pin somewhere!

 


Mac Users


Download and install the Xerox Print Driver from Xerox Support portal, and Xerox Print Experience app from the App store

Follow the prompts when installing the driver to add the printer(s) by IP address.


Then, when printing, scroll down to "Printer Options" and select "Xerox Features"

    

From here you can change the "Job Type" to "Secure Print" and create your PIN and complete your print.

 

You can then save these as a preset for future use
